Week 26 - A Pattern

Patterns are everywhere you look - from all the man-made patterns in all the things we own, to the numerous patterns found all throughout nature. Intentional design is abundant, so this week's photo wasn't difficult at all to capture.

I had actually noticed these shadows being cast on the deck about a week ago or so, and realized it would be a good photo for this week, so I waited impatiently to take this photo. With the moving of the sun, the tall oak trees and other houses to block the light, I get only a few minutes in the late afternoon to get this shot. And in a few months, the positioning of the sun will eliminate this particular shot until the summer months return next year.
